The practice tests are used to practice the TAKS testing format. These are a great resource for teachers to use to: • Model and discuss the test taking process. • Demonstrate the meta-cognitive steps that students need to be using during reading and answering multiple choice questions. • Teach literary elements based on the TEKS. The TAKS reading selections were written by Texas teachers and are designed to be interesting, meaningful, and reflective. The student assessments have TEKS based items which correlate with TAKS Objectives. Note: Due to copyright issues, you must order one assessment per student.
