This order is for the participant materials for the ESL Academy. This interactive 4-day training module for K-12 teachers in the area of English as a second language (ESL) is based on the Domains and Competencies of the ESL TExES exam and is designed for a twofold purpose: to prepare classroom teachers for the ESL TExES and to prepare classroom teachers and other educators to work with English language learners (ELLs) at all levels and in all content areas. The training has proven to be effective within Region XIII districts when conducted in its entirety; however, the design allows for some flexibility in scheduling.
